Thank you for your interest in vending at the 1st Annual Winds of Time Renaissance Faire! Below you will find some basic information regarding our venue, event details, and general questions required to process your application.

About the Venue:

The event will be held at River Hills Retreat (RHR), a beautiful property in Hayden, AL. Located about 12 miles from interstate 65 and 6 miles from Hwy 79, this former golf course is a wonderful location for a Renaissance Faire. Being less than an hour from Birmingham and less than an hour and a half from Huntsville, we can attract gate from both major cities in Alabama. The best part of this location is that the portion of the 70 acre property on which the Faire will occur is river-front and partly shaded! We are planning to immerse the Faire-goers in a way that takes you away from the modern world for just a bit and brings you into medieval times. We would like to note that RHR is not co-hosting this Faire.

Medical:

Even in May, overheating is a serious concern for outdoor events in the Deep South. WoT is proactively installing measures to help combat the heat and ensure that all staff, vendors, and spectators can have an enjoyable, safe Faire. We will place as many vendors in shaded areas as possible. For areas without natural shade, WoT will have Bazaar canopies constructed for Faire Goers to walk under to help with the heat. We will also have a cooling station located centrally in the Faire area with fans, cold water, ice packs etc.

Additionally, we will have EMS services on site to help with minor medical emergencies during the Faire hours.

Security:

24-hour security will be in place beginning on the night of the 22nd and ending at 6pm on the 25th. WoT is not liable for items damaged/lost/stolen...
